Obviously, memes will be affected greatly by the EU passing Article 13. However, memes are way too popular and embeded in social media, that I don't see them disappearing or stopping. I think meme creators will become more popular and influential, and the pages that steal these memes will start to die off. I belive this process will happen within the next couple of months. I think it is a more than educated assumption to infer that memes will continue to dominate the social media scene and will surely not disappear from the internet.
